Missing refund or returns policy on a storefront

What the shopper sees

A customer looking for return conditions may click the footer, find no returns link, or reach an error page. In another store, a page may exist but still contain pre-launch text instead of the actual terms. Those are different issues that need different fixes.

A policy page isn't complete simply because an editor shows it as a draft. The customer-facing URL and navigation matter.

How SnafuFinder checks

The audit tries to locate publicly reachable refund or returns, shipping, privacy and terms pages. It uses storefront links and a bounded set of common policy paths, and checks detected policy text for specific placeholder language.

It reports if a policy wasn't detected or an inspected page contains those explicit placeholders. The tool does not decide whether a policy meets legal requirements, whether its terms are fair or whether the business follows it.

What to fix

Publish your reviewed return and refund terms as a public page, link it from the store's navigation or footer, and confirm the link works without an admin session. If a policy page was renamed, update the old footer destination.

Check your actual selling regions and business practices before changing legal wording. Use the audit to verify that the public location can be found, then inspect the contents manually.
